Läderach Chocolatier Suisse, located in the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore, is a chocolate shop that replaced Godiva a few months ago. The delicate display of chocolates attracts and invites visitors to purchase a sweet treat.

Ambiance:

The interior was very clean and modern. White tiles decorate the floor, leading to the view of vast counter space. A subtle scent of rich chocolate fills your senses, even through a mask. There was a neat display of chocolates ranging from brittle bark to delicately decorated chocolate bites. It was not busy at all during the time I went at 7:30 p.m., with only a few other customers in the store with me.

Service:

The customer service was amazing! As I walked into the store, a worker gave me a sample of the heart-shaped praline bark and picked out the biggest chunk for me out of all the pieces. Afterward, she also gave me a second sample of different chocolate to try out while I shopped.

Food:

I purchased their FrishSchoggi Sticks (which literally translates to fresh chocolate sticks), which were essentially an assortment of different chocolate barks in the form of sticks, which totaled $37.49, or $34 plus tax. This chocolate pack came with approximately ten 7-inch chocolate sticks, with1-inch widths. This pack was really nice because you can try a variety of different flavors without having to buy each of them individually!

Regular milk chocolate (8/10): It had a creamy consistency and was a perfect milk chocolate taste. It melted in the mouth quickly and had no aftertastes. I could tell right off the bat that this chocolate was carefully handcrafted and made with the best ingredients, considering this is a premium Swiss chocolate enterprise.

Dark chocolate with nuts (6.5/10): From someone who doesn’t really like dark chocolate, it was pretty good! it wasn’t too dark or bitter. The nuts balanced the chocolate and gave a nice crunch. The nuts weren’t soggy or stale at all. Not too sweet!

White chocolate with pistachio and almonds (7.5/10): The white chocolate taste was subtle and delicate. It contained a plentiful amount of nuts and the nuts were not stale or soggy on these either!

Raspberry white chocolate (9/10): This has the same white chocolate base, but incorporated inside is tangy dried raspberry pieces that are slightly crunchy. The raspberry is a nice contrast with the sweeter chocolate and the pieces don’t get stuck in your teeth. The overall taste of the white chocolate and raspberry is not overpowering or overwhelmingly sweet which was really nice!

Overall:

Läderach has a large assortment of quality chocolates. They are more on the expensive side of the spectrum; however, if you’re willing to spend a good amount of money on sweets, this shop will not disappoint! They have a good variety of pre-made and customizable packages, which make it really easy and convenient to find something fit for your own budget and taste. I would definitely recommend this chocolatier as they really pay attention to every little detail of your experience, with every bite equally satisfying and the customer service exceptional.
