Sustained Investigation: How does imagination coexist with modern reality?
When I see something in the real world, I always have an imagination: What else is happening in my eyes? I thought it would be fun to show others what I see. I think some of my imaginations are interesting, so I would like to share them with other people.
This piece is a photography drawing and this was actually one of our constraints. I really liked the constraint because it really tied into my si and it really helped this piece, especially as this piece really helped me develop my SI fully. I started off looking for an image that I took over the years and this image really caught my eyes. This was a snake cage, and it looked really cool. So I really liked it and I thought of including my imagination in there, which in this piece, I included the eyes and the claws. Since the constraint was a photography drawing, I also used an ink pen to do some parts of the piece to make some more drawings.
In reality, this is just a snake cage. There’s nothing going on here except for a snake in a cage. But in my imagination when I see this image, I see something coming out of it that’s even bigger than the snake. That eye is actually another creature peeking through the opening into the image.
