Isabel was a staff writer for the Tribune in 2015. She further developed her interest in journalism by attending the prestigious Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute for five weeks in Evanston, Illinois. She is now Co-News Editor for the Tribune. Isabel joined the Tribune because she enjoys hearing people's stories and interacting with different kinds of people. Also, she believes that writing has the power to enact change for the better. The number one thing on Isabel's bucket list is to visit Iceland and recreate the longboarding scene in the film, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."
