About the Contributors
Jack Ke, Sports Editor
Jack originally joined the Tribune in order to grow as a writer and explore his interests. This year is his third year in the Tribune, and his goal for this year is to write well-written stories, stay up-to-date with current events, and explore the diverse culture of sports at Dougherty. One interesting fact about Jack is that he is a Liverpool fan. If he could be anyone in the Tribune, he would be Shreyas Sambara because Shreyas is a positive ray of sunshine in his life.
Tanvi Rao, Arts and Entertainment Editor
Tanvi joined the Wildcat Tribune to develop her writing skills and step out of her comfort zone, and she stayed for the amazing community. She has been on the Tribune for four years, and this is her second year as the Arts & Entertainment editor. Her goal for journalism is to try out new kinds of stories, especially multimedia! One fun fact about Tanvi is that she's an expert at making smoothies. If she could be anyone else on the Tribune she would be Suhani, because of her excellent style and dedication to Trader Joe's.
Rithvika Nagaraj, Opinions Copy Editor
Rithvika stayed in Journalism because of the supportive environment at the Tribune. She took Journalism her freshman year and enjoyed being proactive with reporting on a variety of issues happening at school. Rithvika enjoys hiking, writing poetry, nature photography, reading psychology books, and going to the gym. If she could be any other person on the Tribune, it would be Neetra because she is one of the coolest people she got to meet this year.
Anaisha Das, Web Editor-in-Chief
Anaisha joined the Tribune to be more involved in her community and become a better writer. She stayed for the snack cabinet and the friends she made. This is her fourth year in journalism and second year as the web editor-in-chief. In her free time, Anaisha enjoys binge-watching wholesome sitcoms and listening to different sub-genres of pop music. Her goals for this year are to start a column and podcast. If she could be any other person on the Tribune, she would be either Mayukhi or Annie: Mayukhi for her endless charisma as a leader and Annie for her talent in art.
Ella Shen, Editor-in-Chief
Ella joined the Tribune to improve her writing skills, but stayed for the people, the experience, and the snack cabinet. She was previously photography, multimedia, and managing editor, and is now the co-editor-in-chief. Her goal for this year is to help foster a supportive and fun environment for everyone in the class. Ella enjoys hiking, running, and camping, and wants to hopefully live in a van and go thru-hiking in the future. Her dream for 2 years has been to convert and live in a van... If Ella could be anyone else in the Tribune, she would be Abigail, because she is the most kind and hardworking person she knows.
Emily Wong, Arts and Entertainment Editor
Emily joined the Tribune to express her voice on important issues and stayed for the journalism community who made the experience even more enjoyable. She was previously in the Journey program in middle school. In her free time, you might catch Emily secretly watching her K-dramas, scrapbooking, or watching travel vlogs. This year, her goal is to produce more high-quality articles she can be proud of. If she could be any other person on the Tribune, she would be Abby for her kind heart and admirable work ethic.
Daniel Lee, Multimedia Manager
Daniel returned to the Tribune because he likes being a journalist, and being part of a class community. Daniel was in journalism 1 as a freshman, became a staff writer sophomore year, and stepped into the role of Multimedia Editor as a junior. This year he hopes to be a role model for the many new journalists in the Tribune this year. In his free time, Daniel likes to play volleyball, eat kimchi, and play D&D. A fun fact about him is that he loves eating ramen with an egg, green onions, and spam. If Daniel could be anybody in the Tribune, he would be Andy, because he’s just chill like that.
