Shreyas Sambara
Shreyas Sambara, News Copy Editor
Shreyas stayed on the Tribune because it enabled him to dig deeper into issues he other wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to. This is his fifth year doing journalism, and before he joined the Tribune, he was in the Journey program for two years. In his free time, Shreyas likes to play soccer, travel, and play video games. His goal for journalism this year is to continue to discover and bring to light hidden voices in his community through his love for profile stories. If Shreyas could be anyone on the Tribune, he would be a combination of Jack and Kush because they have such interesting and unique personalities.
Jack Ke
Jack Ke, Sports Editor
Jack originally joined the Tribune in order to grow as a writer and explore his interests. This year is his third year in the Tribune, and his goal for this year is to write well-written stories, stay up-to-date with current events, and explore the diverse culture of sports at Dougherty. One interesting fact about Jack is that he is a Liverpool fan. If he could be anyone in the Tribune, he would be Shreyas Sambara because Shreyas is a positive ray of sunshine in his life.
Arshia Singh
Arshia Singh, Sports Editor
Arshia joined Journalism because she loves writing, and working for the Tribune is a fun way to put it to practical use. She was in J1 last year. In her free time, Arshia loves to read. She has recently been loving historical books, both fiction and nonfiction. Her goal for the year is to write quality pieces on topics she is not already versed in so that she can learn more and expand her writing horizons. If Arshia could be anyone else on the Tribune, she would choose Mr. Bathke. He just seems to have a lot of fun overseeing everything and gets exposed to some really great pieces and writers.
