Wendy’s

Rating: 4/10

I ordered the Homestyle Chicken Sandwich for $4.69, which consisted of a lightly-breaded chicken breast, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on a toasted bun. The service here was awful: the restaurant was completely empty, but it still took the workers about 10 minutes to get my order to me. This sandwich came with an extremely thin piece of chewy chicken. The exterior of the chicken was crispy, but the interior was dry, and hard to swallow even with the sauce, tomato and lettuce. Some parts of the chicken even seemed undercooked, and mushy, which was extremely offputting. However, the lettuce and tomato were fresh and crispy, and provided a small amount of moisture to the mostly-dry sandwich. The bread was evenly buttered and soft, which made the mediocre sandwich slightly more enjoyable. Overall, I didn’t like this sandwich. The chicken, which should’ve been the star of the sandwich, was much too dry and made the rest of the sandwich unenjoyable. This, added with the poor service, makes me wary of coming to Wendy’s again.
