“Music has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember.”

Sidharth Anand: My musical journey started when I first started taking piano lessons at the age of 7. While I didn’t really enjoy playing the piano at the time, my passion for music ignited when I joined the school band in 4th grade as an alto sax player. At the same time, I began to take guitar lessons, learning both acoustic and electric guitar. I thoroughly enjoyed playing in band, as I felt I was part of something that was bigger than my self. My interest and confidence in my musical abilities peaked in 8th grade, when I got into my school’s Jazz Band. I was introduced to this new and exciting world of jazz music, where I improved my musical talents playing alongside other incredible musicians. Music has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have met some of my closest friends in band. I have gotten the chance to meet many amazing people through my various musical endeavors, building relationships as I share my experiences with other musicians. I aim to continue to improve on my musical prowess as I get older, and I hope that music continues to shape the various aspects of my life.
