Fall Sports Recap: Season Summaries
FOOTBALL
Season Record: 1 - 9 League Record: 0 - 8 The highlight of the Varsity Football team’s season was a win against San Lorenzo at a home non-conference game. The final score was 22 - 21 in overtime. Senior Josh Saghal and junior Steven Bratcher scored one touchdown each for the Wildcats.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Season Record: 17 - 2 League Record: 17 - 1 The Varsity Women’s Tennis team maintained a winning record throughout their 2017 season. Senior Christina Wang mostly carried the team using her powerful volleys in her singles. The Wildcats finished with the best record in the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL).
MEN’S WATER POLO
Season Record: 9 - 15 League Record: 0 - 8 The Varsity Men’s Water Polo team ended their season with an 8 - 5 victory against American in their final home non-conference game. Sophomore Noah Richard led the team with 35 goals during the entire season.
WOMEN’S WATER POLO
Season Record: 6 - 18 League Record: 0 - 8 The Varsity Women’s Water Polo team ended their season with a 10 - 9 victory against American in their final home non-conference game. Senior Savannah Furlong led the team with 58 goals during the entire season.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Season Record: 11 - 19 League Record: 5 - 13 The Varsity Women’s Volleyball team qualified for the NCS/Les Schwab Tires Girls Volleyball Championship for Division 1. They lost their playoff game at James Logan by a score of 3 - 0.
CROSS COUNTRY
The Varsity Cross Country team has qualified for the North Coast Section (NCS) Finals for the ninth year in a row and for the CA State Finals for the fourth year in a row. The NCS Finals will be Hayward High School, and the CA State Finals with be at Woodward Park.
