Tanishka Chawla

Tanishka Chawla is a sophomore on the Song team. While this may be the first year Chawla is experiencing being on the Song team, her relationship with dance has lasted over 12 years. With a now-graduated older sister who was also a part of the team, Chawla has always looked up to her sister when it comes to dancing. Being on the team has pushed her dancing versatility, as she is mainly a hip-hop dancer more than a jazz or ballet dancer. Her biggest inspiration is Detroit dancer Natalie A. Bebko, more commonly known as “Nat Bat.” Besides being a part of the Song team, Chawla is part of the San Ramon Teen Council and is the sophomore Class President. Her favorite cuisine is Mexican and her favorite color is pink. Chawla is an avid Don Toliver enthusiast and loves listening to R&B music from the early 2000s.
