Twisha Chawla
“Dance is my escape from reality.”
Twisha Chawla: “I first started dancing when I was six years old and I started with Bollywood and then eventually I started expanding into styles such as hip-hop, ballet and contemporary. Then my summer before sophomore year I got into taking a lot of workshops and taking films, doing it a little more seriously. I recently got into doing workshops for charitable causes such as domestic violence in the bay area. Now I choreograph dance for my own teams and have been getting more and more competitive with dance. It’s a good escape from emotions like stress that come from school and it’s something that I really need because life right now is mad stressful and it helps me.”
