“I enjoy my job because it is self-rewarding”

Ariya Salva: “I started volunteering with the red cross a few years ago at the blood center and the whole environment was so wholesome and I was like this organization puts so much for people when it comes to helping people in natural disasters to giving blood to trauma patients so I decided to become an officer to give other kids at Dougherty an opportunity to participate in this organization. As an officer, I manage our club funds and assist people with volunteer connections. I enjoy my job because it is self-rewarding to be able to see so many people getting involved and learning about the red crosses lines of service.”
